Modern dentistry: single tooth whitening
Before deciding on clarifying the enamel of the teeth,be sure to consult your dentist. After all, this procedure has a number of contraindications and does not always go unnoticed, even if you have one problematic unit, and you think that tooth whitening can not affect the condition of neighboring incisors or canines.
In modern dentistry there are varioustechnologies and approaches by which this procedure is carried out. For example, for complex clarification of the enamel of the entire jaw, as a rule, chemical methods are used. And if you want to change the color of one unit, then use internal (cavity) or reconstructive methods to ensure that tooth whitening was effective, and the result was preserved for a long time. Typically, these technologies are applied when the color of only one or several incisors is changed. Darken usually the so-called "dead teeth" - after depulpation, metabolic processes in them stop, and they acquire a greyish shade. Also they can change the color and when using colored pastes for sealing.
- sealing, which is carried out for the purpose of treating tissues and replacing the filling material - this method does not lighten, but restores the natural color;
- lamination - covering the tooth surface with artificial material: as a rule, veneers are used;
- removing dentin and replacing it with lightcomposite material. This is probably the most dangerous method, since during the procedure there is a risk of splitting the enamel or even the entire crown (visible) part.
But at home, even without buying special funds,you can whiten the teeth a little. For this purpose, use soda, hydrogen peroxide, lemon juice. The main thing, remember that all this can significantly increase the sensitivity and damage the enamel.
