Who I really am

The question "Who am I?"Every man asks himself more than once in his life. Year three, there is clarification by sex. Who am I - a boy or a girl? Further years at 10-12 we are trying to find the answer to the question "Am I a child or an adult, what am I capable of?" And by the age of 16 the main question is "Who am I? What is my path? ". It is at this time that a person has a definition on the following points: 1. Sexual accessory; 2. Professionalism; 3. Self-development.

In psychology, the answer to the question "Who am I and what am I"is the essence of such a concept as the "I" -conception ("I" -shape, the image of "I"). This is a system of self-representations of the individual, a conscious, reflexive part of the personality. It should be noted that these ideas about themselves are more or less realized and have relative stability.

Thus, the "I" concept determines not just what the individual is, but what he thinks about himself, how he looks at his active principle and the possibilities for development in the future.

Traditionally, cognitive, evaluative and behavioral components of the "I" conception are singled out.

The cognitive component is an individual's concept of himself, a set of characteristics that he seems to possess.

Estimating is how an individual evaluates these characteristics, how it relates to them.

Behavioral is how a person actually acts.

All that was said above is a theory. And how in practice? Try yourself now to define yourself - who am I?

Tried it? And what happened? How many words were in your definition of yourself? Two three? Or more? Yes, it's difficult even to tell about yourself without preparation. It seems that you understand who and what you are, but to say it's beautiful is somehow embarrassed. And just like everything is clear ... Is it clear? If you can not express it in words?

Let's seriously prepare for this answer, having done a small (but not very easy) exercise. Approach it creatively, with a flight of fantasy.

So, we proceed. Divide the blank sheet into 3 columns.

The first one will be called "Who am I". Write in it 15-20 determinations-nouns of yourself. For example, a person, a husband, an electrician, etc.

The second column will be called "What I Am." In it, write 10 definitions-adjectives of yourself. For example, cheerful, smart it.d.

And the third column will be called "What is myway, or my mission. " There will be enough 5-6 ways. Here you need to write what leads you through life, your settings, etc. For example, love of life, faith in God, etc.

Then we delete from the first column 10irrelevant definitions, from the second - 5, from the third - 3. From the first column we cross out 5 more irrelevant definitions. Thus, in the first column we will have 5 words, in the second - also 5, in the third - 3

From the remaining words we make 3 sentencesso that each sentence includes 1-2 words from the first and second columns and one path from the third. If everything is ok with the definition of yourself, then you get 3 slogans-motto, which will define you in three directions, namely: 1. Sexual affiliation; 2. Professionalism; 3. Self-development.

How come? Do you see yourself this way? Do you like yourself? Or is there something to work on? Good luck then!
