Execution of coursework (example). Requirements for the design of course work
All students know that scientific works need not only to write competently, but also correctly to formulate. This is what I want to talk about in this article.
GOST
- Structure. Despite the internal requirements for the course work, each of them should have a standard structure and consist of a title page, a table of contents, an introduction, the main part, conclusions (and recommendations), a list of literature, applications.
- This work should be printed on A4 sheets.
- Indentation - this includes the design of coursework (example: top and bottom - 2 cm, on the left - 2.5-3 cm, on the right - 1.5 cm).
- The interval between the lines is necessarily one and a half, the indent of the red line is 1.3 cm, the font is Times New Roman, 14 sizes.
- As for the title page, it is assigned the number 1, but it is not printed.
- A new section begins with a new page.
- The total amount of work - from 20 to 60 sheets (depending on the topic and requirements).
These rules are considered standard, they are not changed and strictly adhered to. All the rest can vary depending on the requirements of the teacher or the department.
Title page
Any scientific work (course or diploma)begins with the title page. How should he look? First of all it is necessary to say that with the staff of the department, it is necessary to stipulate the design of coursework (for example: on the title page, various nuances such as "Done" and "Checked" can be displayed in different ways). However, there are some general rules.
- At the top of the page, aligning the text on the center, you need to write the full name of the institution, on the next line - the faculty, below specify the department.
- At the very center of the page, again, aligning the text in the center, you need to specify the topic of the course work, a little lower - the subject by which it is done.
- Next, it should be indicated who wrote the work and whoit will be accepted. Often, the item "Made" is written on the right - it indicates the name of the student, the course, the group. Below you can find the item "Checked", where the name and academic degree of the teacher will be indicated (this item can also be placed on the left side of the page), below can be the point "Evaluation", where the teacher will show the number of points for work, , the signature of the inspector is required.
- At the very end of the page, along its center, the city where the university is located, and the current year, is indicated.
Content
We go further, studying the design of course andthesis papers. The next mandatory item is "Content", where all the main parts of the work are prescribed, on the contrary, the page numbers must always be displayed. Begins with a sheet from the title, which is written in large letters in the center. Then the main information is placed. It is desirable that the text was placed on one page. Also this sheet is not numbered, although its ordinal number is 2.
Introduction
The next mandatory and very important sectioneach scientific work - "Introduction". Here, it is equally important to know what the design of coursework should be like (an example of writing this part can often be seen in the method department of the department). Important will be the following items:
- Urgency (here it is necessary to give an explanation of why this work should be written, how much the problem under investigation is relevant for today).
- Goals and objectives (the goal that you want to achieve in the course of the research must also be indicated, and the tasks that will be several).
- Object (area of study).
- The subject (clarification, the specifics of the object is what research is actually directed at).
- Theory and methodology (here it is necessary to briefly review the works of scientific figures who worked on this problem).
- Methods (indicate the methods by which this study is possible, for example: analysis, synthesis, statistical method, etc.).
- Novelty (it is indicated that the student plans to introduce a new one in the development of this topic).
- Approbation (practical verification of the results of the research).
These are the nuances that must be indicated in each course work, unless there are other internal requirements. As for the size, the introduction will take from three to five to six pages.
Main text
conclusions
We continue to study the design of course work. The sample says that the next part is called "Conclusions" (possibly, "Conclusions and recommendations"). Here the student sums up his work, indicates whether the goal was achieved, what tasks were accomplished, whether the hypotheses were confirmed or disproved (if such were indicated in the introduction). The student can also give some recommendations on how to solve this problem.
Bibliography
A mandatory item is also the list ofliterature of course work. Making it - not less important moment. It is worth mentioning that, for example, laws, monographs and articles are drawn up in different ways, there are nuances, they need to be studied. Basically, you will need to specify the author's full name, the name of the source, the publisher, the city and the year of publication, the number of pages. At the very beginning of the list of literature are laws or regulations, then English-language sources, then - Russian-language. The sources are placed in alphabetical order.
Apps
The internal requirements of the department orSubject in the course work can be provided for various kinds of applications. These are tables, maps, pictures, which can be used as illustrative material for covering a particular issue.
