RGB controller: description, purpose, types

RGB controller is a device with a remote controlremote control and with attached LED modules or LED strip. And what is RGB? This is an abbreviation (Red, Green, Blue) in English, meaning the three primary colors - red, green and blue. With the help of these colors, the controller by blending gets any colors and their shades. Thanks to this device, you can create the necessary atmosphere in one room in one touch.

For example, an RGB controller helps to createthe following atmospheres: romantic - turning on a purple or pink color, soothing - turning on turquoise or green, the blue color fits well for watching movies. In this way, you can specify a variety of scenarios and modes. The RGB controller allows you to set a smooth color change, so you can evaluate the highlighted object in all shades. Very often, these devices are used as a light supplement to slow music in the mode of smooth color changing, and the mode of sharp color change is well suited for parties, the effect of the strobe is perfectly combined with club music. There are RGB-controllers with the mode of sound activation: they light up brighter and change their colors to the beat of the music.

The following types of control devices are available:

1. RGB controller, designed for LED strips with infrared remote control. This type of device uses infrared sensors to connect the console and the main unit. The convenience of such a system is that one controller can be controlled by several independent controllers that are in the same room. The range of this remote control is 10 meters, which is enough for one room.

2. RGB controller for LED strips with a radio control panel. In such a system, the signal is transmitted over a radio channel, this allows you to install controllers in special niches or hide them behind gypsum board structures. The range of this remote control is 50 meters. The disadvantage of this system is the inability to install several controllers in the range of the console, since the signal will be sent to all devices at once. And if you live in an apartment house, and a neighbor has the same system, then it will be very unpleasant for you when the lighting starts to "live your life." The use of radio control panels is justified when organizing the color lighting of a country house site, when neighboring housing is removed for a long distance, or when decorating park areas.

3. Dimmer - a device for smooth brightness changes in LED modules or LED strips. These devices come in two types: recessed and with remote controls.

The cost of RGB-controllers depends on the number ofpossible reproduction of colors. The more the device is capable of taking shades, the higher the price of such a device. Depending on the type, some RGB controllers can reproduce more than a hundred different shades of color.
