Since the sixties of last century,Moscow has gained the glory of the port of five seas. Shipping channels entered the system, and the main waterways deepened, which allowed to travel along the "river-sea" route with access to five seas: Black, White, Azov, Caspian and Baltic.

Northern river station
In the capital of the navigable is the river Moscow (all its extension). The Moscow canal (it is connected with the river by the lock system) also belongs to the shipping channels.

At the service of those waiting is a restaurant located inbuilding. According to the plan of the designers, a mechanism was installed in the tower that allows to lower the spire (when the navigation is finished and resume). But for all these years it was done only a few times.

Northern river port
The northern river port has a length of one and a half kilometers, half of which was built in the 60s. The rest was completed later.

The most convenient way is to get to it by metro, coming outat the station "Rechnoy Vokzal". At the exit of the metro you will see a park. You can get and otherwise - coming out of the subway, right awayturn left and, without going into the park itself, go along the shopping tents to the underground passage. Once on the other side of the Leningrad Highway, you will see the North River Station - a tall building, topped with a spire.
