From the school course, we do not remember much about suchprocesses, like nuclear reactions, although they are of no small importance in the life of each of us. And about such a concept as a critical mass of uranium, and do not have to say, because for most of us this information is from the realm of fantasy. But, nevertheless, this topic is important, and for general development is very useful! So, the nuclear reaction is a definite process, as a result of which new particles or new nuclei appear, which occurs at the moment of their collision. For the first time the possibility of obtaining a nuclear reaction was discovered in 1919, which is confirmed by the presence of special photographs.

But then humanity did not yet know what strength andpower it began to possess, when first learned about nuclear reaction and nuclear energy. At the moment there are two types of such reactions. Nuclear reactions are subdivided depending on the mode of interaction. The first option is a process consisting of the presence of two phases, as a result of which a compound nucleus is formed. This process occurs due to a small kinetic charge present at the moment of collision of the particles. The second option is direct nuclear reactions. Such a reaction is due to a very high charge of particles.

It is worth noting the fact that duringthe emergence of absolutely all nuclear reactions are all known in classical physics conservation laws - the law of conservation of energy, momentum conservation laws, the law of conservation of nuclear charge, baryon number, lepton number conservation, the parity of the wave function, and the conservation of isotopic spin. Nuclear reactions can be of several kinds, of which we now learn. The nuclear fission reaction is a process in which the nucleus is split into two most nucleus but known cases and ternary fission. The resulting nuclei have practically the same mass and in physics are called fission fragments.

The process of division in this case cancarried out both in spontaneous and in forced form. Nuclear fusion reaction is obtained as a result of fusion of a pair of nuclear atoms. As a result of this reaction, one nucleus appears, which has a mass of two nuclear atoms that formed it. The thermonuclear reaction is another type of nuclear reaction, but this reaction pitch is used a little less often than the previous ones. As a result of this process, nuclear atoms are connected due to the presence of kinetic energy, which appears at the time of their thermal motion. The last kind of nuclear reaction is the photonuclear reaction. As a result of certain relationships, the nucleus begins the process of absorbing the gamma quantum.

Nuclear reactions take the form of certain records,which can be recognized only by those people who take an active part in the process of education and further exploitation of nuclear energy. Most often this happens in the form of special formulas using the established symbols. Outwardly, such formulas are similar to chemical ones. However, there is one significant difference - the sum of the original particles is located on the right side, and arbitrary variants are on the left. As we can see, the nuclear reaction has found an active application in many branches of the national economy, due to its originality and different behavior under certain conditions. Moreover, these conditions can be both natural and man-made. In any case, the use of nuclear energy has helped humanity to receive the cheapest type of electricity and actively use it on the whole planet. Although there are many cases when this very energy was used not for the benefit of man, but for harm, but this is a completely different story.
