A review of the literature of France. A brief analysis of the means that every French writer used
Literature of France is one of the mostthe oldest and the most saturated in all of Europe. Throughout its rapid development, it was closely associated with society, with the French people, with the historical processes taking place in the country. Virtually every French writer was both a historian and a political thinker. In addition, their works are distinguished by a close relationship with philosophy.
The age of the Middle Ages is differentpoetic monuments in Old French. It was during this period that many new genres were born: a ballad, an epic poem, a pastern. The names of medieval troubadours have survived to this day: Bertrand de Born, Rudel, Chretien de Troyes, Brühl and more than one French writer.
The first political thinker of the 18th century inFrance became Montesquieu. In these years, wrote his "Marriage of Figaro" and "The Barber of Seville" the brilliant K. de Beaumarchais. The nineteenth century is marked by the appearance of the French historical novel, the ancestor of which was Walter Scott. In this regard, we can not fail to mention such widely known works as "Queen Margot" and "Three Musketeers", created by A. Dumas-father. This French writer is popular today, and his novels are read by everyone, regardless of gender and age.
These years brought France J. Sand and J. Verna. Let us recall the famous books of the latter: "The Mysterious Island", "Children of Captain Grant" and, of course, "20 000 leagues under the water". Even modern French writers sometimes can not create such an exciting story, fill the narrative with such colors as Jules Verne did. His books have been translated into several languages and, probably, are in everyone's house.
These are the main figures in the literature of France, but this is not all. Unfortunately, all French writers simply will not fit in this article!
