The construction of the railway bypassing Ukraine is planned to be completed ahead of schedule
In 2015, the construction of an ironroads bypassing Ukraine. The new site will connect Zhuravka village, located in the Voronezh region, with a small town Millerovo near Rostov. Until now, the railway communication between these settlements partially passed through the territory of Ukraine. Those who needed to get from Voronezh to Krasnodar or, say, Rostov-on-Don, had to cross the state border twice.
The need to create a new canvas arosedue to the deterioration of relations between Moscow and Kiev. According to Oleg Toni, vice president of Russian Railways, the construction of a railway bypassing Ukraine is one of the most important strategic projects for Russia at the moment, which should be implemented as soon as possible.
Scale of construction
The total length of the new section of the canvas will beto be 122 kilometers. The volume of public investment for the project is more than 50 billion rubles. The construction of the railway bypassing Ukraine is carried out using the most advanced technologies and in strict accordance with the current Russian legislation. On the territory of the site there will be 5 electric substations and about 60 kilometers of external call for energy supply - all this will allow to electrify the roads completely.
The beginning of the construction of the railway bypassingUkraine occurred with the help of 350 units of equipment, which provided the Western, Central and Southern military districts and 600 citizens of the Russian Federation, who are on military service.
In whose hands is the responsibility for the result?
Construction of the railway bypassing Ukrainewas entrusted to the organization Roszheldstroy, which is a subsidiary of JSCo Russian Railways, and to the railway troops of the Russian Federation. The duties of the first group of employees include the creation of an external power supply system, the construction of traction substations, the installation of interlocking and signaling devices, the provision of energy, the laying of sleepers and rails. The competence of the second group of specialists includes the excavation of the roadbed and the installation of small artificial objects - for example, culverts.
On the assurances of the project managers, the progresswork is strictly monitored. Every day specialists of visiting laboratories are sent to the site, and professional sappers are assigned to the battalions.
Construction of the railway bypassing Ukraine: features and problems
According to the draft, some of the future waysit is necessary to a private territory - sowing fields. According to Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov, they managed to reach an agreement with the owners of property, and in the very near future they will solve this problem.

Employees of military departments carefully remove a layer of valuable soil and lay it aside from the constructed section of the road. After the completion of all work, the land is planned to be used for planting trees, bushes and other green plants, that is, to create the beauty that Russia is so famous for.

According to the officials, if this pace is maintained, it will be possible to finish the work much earlier than the planned time - the end of 2017.
The Ministry of Transport notes that thisthe section of the railroad track would have been built in any case - regardless of the relationship with Ukraine. The need to implement the project was considered based on considerations of the comfort of movement of Russian citizens. With the emergence of an armed conflict in the neighboring state, it was necessary to ensure security, which only served as a catalyst for the decision to build a railway section between Zhuravka and Millerovo.
