The main active ingredient of the drug is acetazol (two hundred and fifty milligrams in one suppository), auxiliary ones are dextrose (three hundred milligrams), and boric acid (three hundred milligrams).
The medication is distributed in outline cell packs of five in each.
The active substance of the preparation is organicderivative of arsenic acid. The content of the latter in acetazol reaches twenty seven percent. The ability of this substance to slow down and block the activity of the sulfhydryl enzyme system provides a violation of metabolic processes in protozoa. It is especially effective against trichomonads, amoebas and some spirochetes.
Dextrose is a nutrient substrate for lactobacilli, characteristic of normal vaginal microflora.
