All of the above refers to the presenttime. But what happened in the past? For the first time the educational institution opened its doors to students in 1944. The university was founded in Uryupinsk and was called at the time the Stalingrad Agricultural Institute. In its organizational structure there were only 4 faculties and a small number of specialties. In process of development the number of structural divisions increased, new directions of preparation appeared.

To date, there is an agrarian university in Volgograd at Universitetsky Prospect 26. There are 8 faculties:

Agro-technological and engineering-technological faculties

Agrotechnological faculty has its own historysince the foundation of the university. It is a large structural unit. Applicants choose it for several reasons. First, in the bachelor's program, the structural subdivision offers to the entrants five areas of training related to forestry, gardening, landscape architecture, agronomy, agrochemistry and agro-soil science. Secondly, the faculty has modern equipment, many doctors of sciences work.

Engineering and technological structuralThe division also appeared at the time of the founding of the Agrarian University in Volgograd.
